Software-update: FreeCAD 1.1.0

Versie 1.1.0 van FreeCAD is uitgekomen. FreeCAD is een gratis en opensource Computer Aided Design-programma en is primair bedoeld voor werktuigbouwkundige ontwerpen, maar kan ook prima voor elektronische ontwerpen of in de architectuur worden gebruikt. FreeCAD 1.1.0 released

After an enormous amount of work and dedication from FreeCAD contributors we are delighted to announce that FreeCAD Version 1.1 is now released and available for download.

There are significant amounts of improvements and new features. These include; transparent Part Design previews, interactive draggers added to tools like Fillet and Chamfer, 3 point lighting, a Clarify Selection tool, Assembly and FEM improvements and animations, a totally new CAM tool library system and much much more.

De nieuwe versie moet nog landen voor OpenSUSE en Flatpak, maar het filmpje beloofd wel een aangename verbetering als het om de aansturing van het programma gaat. Hopelijk lukt het ze in de toekomst ook om de prestaties wat te verbeteren.
