Software-update: CoMaps 2025.11.19-2

CoMaps is een opensource en communitydriven navigatieapp voor Android en iOS. Het werkt met de kaarten van OpenStreetMap, is gemaakt om zonder internetverbinding te kunnen werken, doet niet aan tracking, verzamelen van data of tonen van advertenties. Verder gebruikt het weinig resources en is het heel transparant over hoe de organisatie erachter wordt gefinancierd en bestuurd. Het is verkrijgbaar via de officiële Google Play Store en Apple Store, maar ook in de alternatieve appstores van F-Droid, Obtainium en Codeberg. Versie 2025.11.19-2 is uitgekomen en hier zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen in aangebracht:

General:

• OpenStreetMap data as of November 16
• Avoid paved roads routing option
• Fixed duplicate notes uploads to OSM due to a race condition
• Fixed details shown in OSM Editor for tourism and place_of_worship
• Fixed editing of area features represented as points
• Fixed some OSM editing duplicates due to unreliable coords comparison
• Improve place does not exist OSM note text
• Performance improvements in the map generation code

Android:

• Show opens/closes at in place page and in the search
• Add Business is vacant/disused option to the OSM editor
• Hide offline explanation after two map downloads
• Move system language to the top of map language setting
• Updated "clear" and "close" icons
• Higher priority for OSM edits upload on Android 12+
• Remove dividers between routing options
• Fixed layers button tint in the night mode
• Fixed floating marker view used in elevation tracks view
• Migrated last buttons to Material 3
• Add icons to the settings page
• Fix dark mode app icon color

iOS:

• Added icons to routing options
• Fixed voice setting being permanent in CarPlay
• Worked around issues with highlighting the focus state of some button in CarPlay for older iOS versions

Map:

• Added trees
• Added several seamarks
• Added lifebuoys, emergency access points, soup kitchens, food banks, food sharing, give boxes, car pooling spaces, boat rentals, indoor play centres, telecommunication shops, day spas, payment centres and mobile money agents
• Show sand areas on the map
• Render various entrances types differently
• Added hexagon-shaped road shields for many European countries, that use them, and a custom shape for Hungary
• Made bus stop icons smaller and show up earlier
• Added and refreshed icons for emergency assembly points, train station buildings, slipways, marinas
• Fixed road shields for some countries by taking their highway class into account
• Fixed mismatched label colors for some POIs
