Software-update: Pinnacle Studio 9.3.5.4b

Pinnacle Systems heeft voor zijn Studio 9-software een nieuwe patch uitgebracht. De update is te herkennen aan versienummer 9.3.5.4b en kan via deze urrel direct gedownload worden. Studio 9 is de nieuwste van Pinnacles videobewerkingssoftware. Zo is het bijvoorbeeld mogelijk om homevideo's op de computer te bewerken en deze op een dvd-schijf branden. Het changelog van bètaversie 9.3.5.4 ziet er als volgt uit:

Preview for generic YUV capture devices now works properly

Fun effects now work e.g. Lens flare, water drop etc

HFX transitions are properly installed locked/unlocked as applicable; previously installed HFX transitions are properly accessible in the album and in saved projects

Significant improvement in ChromaKeyer quality

Crash associated with applying time effects is fixed

Supports Dual layer DVD creation even if the system does not have a DL burner

Several Operation failed errors with transitions, trimming and clip insertion addressed

Problem with “J” and “L” cuts and transitions is fixed

Performance improvement in insertions of large number of clips from the tape album

UI clean up for audio and video tool boxes

Vooral deze vond ik erg nuttig.
En ik baalde al een beetje omdat ik met de nieuwe versie gesavede projecten niet kon openen met een eerdere versie maar met deze versie wel weer.

Hmm, en dat met een licentietype freeware... Ja, ok de patch is misschien gratis, maar het programma zelf niet, misschien even handig om er bij te zetten.

Aan patches geen gebrek, maar ondertussen twijfel ik nog steeds over de aanschaf van dit in mijn ogen mooi pakket. Ik word niet veel wijzer van al die threads bij evenzoveel patches...

Alleen hetvolgende is wat minder: The size of the download is 60 MB. This patch cannot be applied on top of 9.3.5.4b patch. This patch requires Studio 9.1.2 or earlier 9.x released version as a base installation.

Our reccommended installation is as follows:

Uninstall any previous Studio 9 patch
Uninstall Studio 9
Reinstall Studio 9 from CD
Install the 9.3.5.5b BETA patch
