Op de website van BSPlayer is 1.01 te downloaden van het gelijknamige programma. Met BSPlayer kunnen diverse formaten plaatjes, muziek en video, en DivX films in het bijzonder worden weergegeven. Naast onder andere een 'boss' button, font smoothing voor ondertitels en ondersteuning voor ondertitels in VMR 9 zijn voornamelijk enkele probleempjes opgelost die in de 1.0-release gevonden zijn. Het changelog ziet er als volgt uit:

- added VMR9 renderless mode and subtitle support, subtitles are now supported with VMR 9
- it's now possible to define every shortcut as global
- added 'movie mode' function (M), it will put movie at top, subtitles at bottom and enable pan-scan as needed
