Op de website van Plain Back Software is een nieuwe versie van WebGUI verschenen. Met dit programma kan op eenvoudige wijze een website worden beheerd en ingericht zonder dat men hiervoor uitgebreide technische kennis hoeft te bezitten. De release notes zien er als volgt uit van versie 6.1.0 beta:
The next release in our long road of refactoring is finally here. This release was focused on performance and scalability. Some of the new features support for replicated databases, a new faster page tree system, template caching, and a whole new internationalization and help system.
Overall most users should notice that pages load around 2 times faster than before. Administrators will notice that WebGUI processes use slightly less memory, but more of the memory is shared. Also, administrators will have a much easier time scaling WebGUI up to support very large sites.
