De ontwikkelaars van NewsBin Pro hebben via het forum een nieuwe versie uitgebracht. Dit keer is de update genummerd als 4.3 en kan vanaf hier neergetrokken worden. NewsBin Pro is in staat om zogenoemde gesplitte binaries van een nieuwsserver te downloaden en in elkaar te bouwen. Een noemenswaardige verandering in 4.3 is het verminderd geheugengebruik van NewsBin Pro. Daarnaast is deze versie niet te gebruiken op Windows 95, Windows 98 en Windows Me. Na het uitbrengen van vijftig interne releases ziet de lijst met veranderingen en nieuwe mogelijkheden als volgt uit:

Notes/Known Issues:
- Post Limiter function is fixed. If multiple servers are selected, will show the number of posts times the number of servers in the status bar when loading.
- Fixed crash when doing a manual add group with trailing spaces
- Fixed problem where adding/deleting groups in sequence will delete entries from the groups list.
- Fixed problem where filters were being applied using "Find" from the Toolbar (which searches spool files). The toolbar find feature now overrides all filters.
- WILL NOT RUN ON WINDOWS 95/98/ME MACHINES!
- Not compatible with stored headers from 4.22. All headers need to be downloaded again when upgrading to 4.3.
- Not compatible with saved download lists from 4.22. You should allow any saved downloads to complete before upgrading
- Filename filtering is broken if you run multiple servers
- Order of download list is not preserved on save/reload, for example, the autosave feature.
- Custom filter profile names must start with a letter. It won't be saved if it starts with a digit.
- Read Post Body always uses the first server in properties list, even if it is disabled RPB won't work for posts loaded from .bns or .nzb files because it isn't hooked up to download by message id.
- Save to Folder is not remembered on restart/autoload.
- Errors from the news server which NewsBin deems "temporary" are retried forever.
- Had a couple of reports of NewsBin crashing on exit while downloading files. Is not consistently reproducable and cannot be reproduced by NewsBin staff.
