De derde release candidate van NewsBin Pro 6.71 is uitgekomen. Met dit programma kunnen bestanden, zoals foto's, video's en programma's, van usenet worden gehaald. Het heeft alles wat je van een usenet-downloader mag verwachten, zoals ondersteuning voor multithreading, ssl en autopar. Verder zijn er uitgebreide filtermogelijkheden en kan er van een optionele Usenet-search-service gebruikgemaakt worden. Versie 6.71 is een bugfix-release en de changelog laat dan ook voornamelijk bugfixes zien.

Known Issues (won't be fixed in 6.71)
- Fixed crash when renaming a group folder in the groups list (Group of Groups name)
- Made change to perodically save total download count instead of only on exit.
- Fixed issue where downloading from search watch list wasn't tagging the post as "downloaded"
- Now creates any empty folders that might be represented inside a RAR file during unrar.
- Fixed issue with trial keys not working. Introduced in RC2.
- Report: Auto-shutdown will shutdown when the download list empties, even if Newsbin is still importing downloaded headers.
Determined that this is not an issue as Newsbin will pick up where it left off the next time you start it.
- "Load Older Posts" for headers is broken
- Auto-shutdown will close Newsbin while headers are still importing in the background. Determined to be annoying but not critical as the import will continue once Newsbin is started again.
