Mozilla heeft versie 28 van zijn webbrowser Firefox uitgebracht. In versie 28 is ondersteuning aanwezig voor gamepads, vp9-video decoding en Opus in WebM. Verder kan het Notification Center in OS X nu web-notificaties tonen en kan het volume van audio en video die via html5 wordt weergegeven worden aangepast. De touch-versie voor Windows 8, die in de bèta nog was aangekondigd, heeft de eindstreep niet gehaald.
