Versie 2.2 van Argus TV is uitgekomen. Dit programma is ontstaan nadat de twee ontwikkelaars van For The Record het niet eens konden worden over de toekomst en ieder hun eigen weg zijn gegaan. Met Argus TV kunnen tv-programma's worden opgenomen. Het kan daartoe gebruikmaken van online-tv-gidsen, zodat de programma's niet handmatig hoeven te worden ingevoerd. Welk programma wordt opgenomen, wordt bepaald aan de hand van regelsets en er is de mogelijkheid om handmatig conflicten op te lossen. Het programma kan op zichzelf worden gebruikt of in combinatie met MediaPortal of XBMC. De release notes van de verleden week verschenen versie 2.2 van Argus TV zien er als volgt uit:

- Implemented smarter caching when calculating upcoming programs - should speed things up with a lot of complex schedules.
- Revamped the REST api to be more RESTful (still supports the old api for backwards compatibility).
- Added %%CHANNELTYPE%% format.
- Console is now DPI-aware.
- Added new configuration setting to specify the e-mail sender (default is the first address in the to-list).
- When changing the post-record of an already active recording, the recording will now correctly run until the new end-time.
- Hitting the Delete key in the Recorder Programs panel now acts the same as picking Delete from the popup menu.

Web Access:
- When a program change is detected while recording/streaming, descrambling is reinitialized now.
- Optimized EPG grabbing significantly.
- Console is now DPI-aware.
- Live streams will now allow scrambled programs to stream (but with black image of course) -- this should enable card activation signals to come through.
- Tweaked TBS code to support most TBS cards.
- TBS 22khz and toneburst fixes (djblu)
- Made minimum ts files count 3 instead of 2.
- Tweaked PMT tuning code to fix occasional tunings problems (e.g. HBO HD).
- Fixed bogus Indeo Decoders error when card was already tuned to the correct frequency (djblu)
- Changed 'Scan' to 'Scan Services' in the Recorder Console.
- Updated Satellites.xml to Reinh@rd 10.11.2013 and made it world-wide.
- Updated Delta Netherlands in Cables.xml.

Misc:
- Tweaked time format in Web Access (fixes problems in some timezones).
- Added to fix Surface tablet browsing.
- Program popup from Upcoming for types Alert and Suggestion now allow recordings to be created (like from the EPG).
- Fixed "on now" issue with start/stop times that were not exactly on a minute.
- Fixed program popup on Edit Schedule when the upcoming grid was paged.
