Versie 1.6.0.1 van ForTheRecord is uitgekomen. Met dit programma kunnen tv-programma's worden opgenomen. ForTheRecord kan daartoe gebruikmaken van online-tv-gidsen, zodat de programma's niet handmatig hoeven te worden ingevoerd. Welk programma wordt opgenomen, wordt bepaald aan de hand van regelsets en er is de mogelijkheid om handmatig conflicten op te lossen. Het programma kan op zichzelf worden gebruikt of in combinatie met MediaPortal of GB-PVR. Meer informatie kan in dit pdf-document worden gevonden. In versie 1.6.0.1 zijn onder andere de 'epg grabber' en 'channel scanning' verbeterd. Vooral aan de MediaPortal-client zijn een hoop tweaks en verbeteringen uitgevoerd. Verder is er ondersteuning toegevoegd voor dvb-kaarten van Digital Devices en is de samenwerking met MediaPortal verbeterd. Het volledige changelog ziet er als volgt uit:
