Versie 1.7.0.0 van For The Record is uitgekomen. Met dit programma kunnen tv-programma's worden opgenomen. For The Record kan daartoe gebruikmaken van online-tv-gidsen, zodat de programma's niet handmatig hoeven te worden ingevoerd. Welk programma wordt opgenomen, wordt bepaald aan de hand van regelsets en er is de mogelijkheid om handmatig conflicten op te lossen. Het programma kan op zichzelf worden gebruikt of in combinatie met MediaPortal of GB-PVR. Versie 1.7.0.0 bevat een groot aantal veranderingen, de belangrijkste zijn hieronder op een rijtje gezet.
