Software-update: Mozilla SeaMonkey 2.6 bèta 1

De Mozilla Foundation heeft SeaMonkey voorzien van een eerste bètaversie van de aankomende 2.6 uitgave. SeaMonkey is de voortzetting van de voormalige Mozilla Application Suite en bestaat uit een webbrowser en programma's om te e-mailen en nieuws te lezen. Daarnaast is er nog een eenvoudige html-editor aanwezig. In tegenstelling tot de Mozilla Application Suite wordt SeaMonkey door de community onderhouden, waarbij de SeaMonkey Council het onderhoud overziet. What's New in SeaMonkey 2.6 Beta 1

SeaMonkey 2.6 Beta 1 contains the following major changes relative to SeaMonkey 2.5:

SeaMonkey-specific changes

• Added Print Preview support to Composer
• Added update channel indication to About SeaMonkey page (about:)

Mozilla platform changes

• Added Type Inference, significantly improving JavaScript performance
• Added support for querying Do Not Track status via JavaScript
• Added support for font-stretch
• Improved support for text-overflow
• Improved standards support for HTML5, MathML, and CSS
• Fixed several stability issues
