Mozilla heeft versie 2.31 van SeaMonkey uitgebracht. SeaMonkey is de voortzetting van de voormalige Mozilla Application Suite en bestaat uit een webbrowser en programma's om te e-mailen en nieuws te lezen. Er is ook een eenvoudige html-editor aanwezig. In tegenstelling tot de Mozilla Application Suite wordt SeaMonkey door de community onderhouden, terwijl de SeaMonkey Council het onderhoud overziet. Deze versie bevat geen specifieke veranderingen voor SeaMonkey zelf, maar omdat de broncode van Firefox en Thunderbird als basis dient, zijn daaruit wel diverse verbeteringen uit voortgekomen.

- Support for H264 (MP4) is now built in on Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and newer through native APIs.
- HTTP/2 (draft14) and ALPN have been implemented.
- Added ability to recover from a locked process in the "SeaMonkey is already running" dialog on Windows.
- Added ECDH support for WebCrypto.
- The console.table function has been added to the Error Console.
- CSS transitions start correctly now when started at the same time as changes to display, position, overflow, and similar properties.
