UltraVNC is voorzien van een update naar versie 1.0.9.1. Dit programma stelt je in staat om een verbinding naar een andere computer te maken. Die computer kan dan worden bestuurd alsof je er zelf achter zit, waardoor het bijvoorbeeld mogelijk is om op afstand problemen op te lossen. UltraVNC, een aftakking van RealVNC, voegt extra functionaliteit toe, waaronder de mogelijkheid tot chatten en bestandsoverdracht. Het changelog van deze release laat de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen zien:

- Integrated support for SecureVNC plugin.
- Fix recursive clipboard issues when several VNC, RDP, VM, etc sessions are nested.

- Immediately subsequent socket writes are coalesced to minimize unnecessary packets. This eliminates 40 bytes of network overhead for most messages, and more in other cases.

- Fixed recovery / resynchronization attempts in update handler due to bypassing DSM plugin when flushing input buffer, leading to unsynchronized encryption states.
