De MozillaFoundation heeft de zesde update voor SeaMonkey versie 2.0 uitgebracht. SeaMonkey is de voortzetting van de voormalige Mozilla Application Suite en bestaat uit een webbrowser en programma's om te e-mailen en nieuws te lezen. Daarnaast is er nog een eenvoudige html-editor. In tegenstelling tot de Mozilla Application Suite wordt SeaMonkey door de community onderhouden, terwijl de SeaMonkey Council het onderhoud overziet. In versie 2.0.6 zijn enkele beveiligingsproblemen en bugs verholpen. Verder was het in sommige gevallen niet mogelijk om wachtwoorden uit versie 1.x te importeren en dat zou nu wel moeten lukken.
SeaMonkey 2.0.6 contains the following noteworthy changes:
- Security fixes
- Unprivileged users are notified of security updates again
- Password import from SeaMonkey 1.x now works in some cases where it failed before
- Fixes for a number of non-security-relevant crashes, increasing the stability of the whole platform and the Mail & Newsgroups part of SeaMonkey
