Dinsdag is versie 4.2.0 van UltraDefrag uitgekomen, de eerste versie die pas echt het label 'stabiel' mag dragen volgens de ontwikkelaars. Dit opensource defragmenteerprogramma kan zijn werk doen op Windows NT en hoger. Aparte downloads zijn beschikbaar voor 32bit-, 64bit- en ia64-omgevingen en zijn gemiddeld slechts een paar honderd kilobyte groot. Nieuw in deze release is onder andere de mogelijkheid meerdere drives te selecteren, wat handig kan zijn in combinatie met de 'zet pc uit als je klaar bent'-feature.
