Software-update: Grand Theft Auto IV 1.0.0.4

Rockstar Games heeft een nieuwe patch voor Grand Theft Auto IV vrijgegeven. De patch voor windows, met versienummer 1.0.0.4, kan door op deze link te klikken binnengehaald worden. De nieuwe update voor GTA IV is voorzien van onder meer verbeteringen met betrekking tot de beveiliging om cheaters te weren. De bijbehorende aankondiging en lijst met veranderingen ziet er als volgt uit:

Today we released patched 1.0.0.4 for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV. The patch features a number of updates and fixes including the conversion of all region SKU’s into the same SKU, more freedom for users to customize controls, and several multiplayer fixes. GENERAL:

• Convert all region SKU's into the same SKU.
• Include support for all languages within single exe.

CONTROLS:

• Allow controls to be double mapped on keyboard.
• Added option in controls menu to disable mouse controls in helicopters.
• Adjust keyboard control sensitivity in hood cam view in vehicles.

MULTIPLAYER:

• Security Updates to deter cheating in multiplayer.
• Hosts can now immediately Kick users from their games in Lobby and in game via Cell phone without having to rely on peer voting.
• Fixed a bug in Cops 'n Crooks mode where Host would drop out and prevent remaining players from leaving game.

Vage versienummering
Ik heb hier al geruime tijd een GTA IV Patch die versie 1.0.4.0 is (GTAIV_MAINTENANCE_UPDATE_1040_EFIGS), die uit juni 2009 komt. En dan krijg je nu een 1.0.0.4
Gebruikelijk in de wereld van updates is dat de laatste update een hogere build meekrijgt, en niet een lagere Vaag.

Ik dacht dat ik het bij het verkeerde eind had, blijkt nu dat mijn vermoeden toch juist was. de laatste is inderdaad 1.0.4.0 Dit had 1.0.4.1 of 1.0.5.0 moeten zijn...
