De ontwikkelaars van PowerArchiver hebben de eerste release candidate van PowerArchiver 2010 uitgebracht.; de volledige versie-aanduiding luidt 11.50 rc1. RC1 is vanaf deze server als installatiepakket voor Windows te downloaden. PowerArchiver is een uitgebreid archiveringsprogramma voor het creëren van archiefbestanden in diverse formaten, waaronder zip, rar, arj en 7z. Verder is het programma ook in staat om imagebestanden in te zien en kan de duurste uitvoering van PowerArchiver imagebestanden naar een virtuele drive mounten of naar een cd-, dvd- of blu-ray-schijf branden. De lijst met veranderingen die in versie 11.50 rc1 doorgevoerd zijn, is hieronder te vinden:
