Softland heeft woensdag doPDF 6.2 build 289 uitgebracht. Deze software installeert zich als een printerdriver en maakt het mogelijk om vanuit elk programma op eenvoudige wijze pdf-documenten te maken. De software is gratis voor zowel privé- als commercieel gebruik, heeft geen Ghostscript nodig om zijn werk te kunnen doen en voegt geen watermerk of advertentie toe. Alleen in het scherm waar de locatie moet worden gekozen om het pdf-document weg te schrijven, is een vermelding te zien naar novaPDF, een soortgelijk programma met uitgebreidere opties van dezelfde makers, dat echter niet gratis is. NOTE: By checking the Embed fonts option, the resulting PDF file will be considerably larger because it will include in the PDF the fonts used for the creation of the text. However, font embedding also ensures that the text in the PDF will look the same on other computers where it is opened, even if the fonts used are not present on that computer.- Update: Added informational page in the start menu group (describes how to create PDF files)
