Op het eigen forum hebben de mensen van Anope een nieuwe ontwikkelversie van hun gelijknamige 'Internet Relay Chat'-software aangekondigd. Hierodoor is het programma aangekomen bij versienummering 1.7.15 en kan via deze pagina vanaf verschillende mirrorservers in diverse uitvoeringen gedownload worden. Anope is een verzameling van irc-services die aan een IRC-daemon te hangen zijn. De services die gebruikt kunnen worden bestaan onder meer uit een 'NickServ' en 'ChanServ', waarmee respectievelijk gebruikers en kanalen te beheren zijn door zowel de users als de operators. De irc-server van Tweakers.net maakt gebruik van Anope zodat gebruikers nicknamens en kanalen kunnen registreren, en de irc-operators diverse tools beschikbaar hebben om de gebruikers en kanalen te beheren. In Anope 1.7.15 zijn de volgende veranderingen doorgevoerd:
