SmartFTP is voorzien van een update naar versie 2.0 build 997. SmartFTP is een zeer uitgebreide FTP-client en heeft onder andere ondersteuning aan boord voor beveiligde verbindingen via TLS en SSL, van server naar server communicatie via FXP, foutcontrole via XCRC en verschillende NAT- en UPnP-omgevingen.
