Voor het Mac OS X-platform is een nieuwe versie van Skype verschenen die 1.3.0.14 als het versienummer heeft meegekregen. Met dit zogenaamde VoIP-programma kan gratis met andere gebruikers van dit programma worden gesproken. Tegen een geringe vergoeding kan er een abonnement worden genomen met de naam SkypeOut, zodat bellen naar vaste- en mobilenummers mogelijk wordt. De lijst met veranderingen ziet er als volgt uit:
