Ars Technica heeft een editorial on-line gezet met daarin een samenvatting van de laatste ontwikkelingen op hardware gebied, het volgende hebben ze over 3dfx te zeggen:
3dfx is not to be forgotten. They've actually started showing their Voodoo 4 and 5 at Cebit (based on the VSA-100 early silicon), and if you're into that type of thing, you can dig up some screenshots here. While I was slumming their site I came across this movie which, while not being terribly informative, I found pretty cool... one of the advantages of a short attention span, and of being easily entertained. (Take that skule teacher.) In case you haven't heard (or don't care to read), the next generation Voodoo cards support 32-bit color, and all the cool stuff we've come to expect (except T&L AFAIK). One of the big things that 3dfx is p1mping on the VSA is that they're going to be the first to ship a card that will be capable of drawing one billion pixels per second. Holy Gigapixel B... ack, it's even getting old to me.[break]En over BitBoys hebben ze het volgende te zeggen:[/break]The PR machine rolls on...
