At the beginning of December last year Intel shocked the computer world with a doubtful update: The new Pentium III, code name Coppermine, in FC-PGA design which runs only into particularly Socket 370 Boards laid out for it. This base was reserved to date for the Celeron CPU's. The new Pentium III types need additional pins, which are not needed of the Celeron PCU's for the operation.
For the owners of a motherboard with base 370 this means first that for the application of a Slocket 370 Pentium III a new board is necessary. In order to save to the user the acquisition of a new Motherboards, the PC pro laboratory developed a circuit, which enables it with many boards to use nevertheless a Pentium III.
