One would hope for a more convenient form of powering the Monitor Cooler, but you need to open up your case and fill in the opening for an ISA or PCI card with a piece of metal that has a 4-pin power cable plug within it. The inner side plugs into a cable from your power supply, and the outer side connects to the cord from the Monitor Cooler. Thankfully, it's several feet long, and in our case, it was able to reach from the monitor on one side of a desk, to the tower on the floor by the opposite side of the desk.
Benchmarking the performance of this fan is difficult, but even after hours and hours of leaving the screensaver off and disabling power saving modes, the top of our screen was as cool as the keyboard and mouse.
