[Q] What do you feel is motion blurring ACTUALLY going to be used for?
[A] We put a lot of faith in the developers. They are talented creative people. If you give them the tool, they will find unique and crazy ways to use it. We have shown a version of Quake 3 with motion blur and it is very cool. The streaking players is a very cool effect that does not play well in screen shots. The "drunken sailor" effect is wild. If you get shot by a rocket, the whole screen rocks for a second or two. How cool would that be in a boxing game? When you are driving a race car at 180, why do the tress appear like you are standing still? They should be blurred.
