Palo Alto PA-600 Case review

Target PC schreef een review van de Palo Alto PA-600 ATX kast. Dit model heeft een uniek mechanisme waardoor je je moederbord met 1 schroefje in je kast kan hangen:

I am very partial to this case. I would have liked to see another full bay available but that is a somewhat minor point since Palo Alto designs their cases to accommodate the needs of OEMs and large system integrators. Obviously there isn’t enough interest in a layout with more full bays from the OEMs to cause Palo Alto to lose sleep over the layout of the PA-600. I feel that the vast majority of people will not use more than 2 full bays for their components, and considering the good ventilation the PA-600 can accommodate, the extra air space in the case is not missed. Keep in mind that the PA-600 can still mount a satisfactory amount of 3.5" drives inside the case and the loss of one full bay becomes even less important. I recommend this case to anyone who is concerned with the quality of construction in their case and/or someone that is looking for a mid-tower and doesn’t need more than 2 full bays. For a case of its size it accommodates impressive cooling if you purchase a 92 mm and an 80 mm fan to mount in your case as I did with the tested configuration. The PA-600 retails for $95, including shipping, at the Palo Alto website.You can find it for less with a little diligence from one of their authorized resellers.

hoewel ik die 2 bays wat minder vind, is dit toch een zwaar flex kassie, en als het echt 200 piek incl. verzendkosten is staat ie volgende maand hier!

Nou, 2 bays is anders wel ERG weinig hoor. Stop er een cdrom en writer in en hijs vol!

met een schroef los.. lijkt op dat ding wat ik VROEGER van vobis had.... was ook niet wat.

Het kan aan mij liggen, maar wat heb je eraan dat het met 1 schroefje los kan. Als ik aan mijn PC tool, ligt het mobo er nooit uit, en zo vaak verwissel je geen mobo.

Verder vind ik het een nogal dure kast. Ik heb nu een miditower met 235 watt voeding voor 65 gulden. Ziet er leuk uit en is gewoon functioneel. Komt uit een T1/T5 serie (zie bbsnederland.nl. Het is de serie kasten waar een "i" achterstaat.)

Deze kast lijkt me ook meer bedoeld voor de zakelijke markt. Stop er een i810 mobo in en een processor en wat geheugen en een hd, cdrom en floppydrive en je bent klaar en deze kast maakt het mogelijk dat nog sneller in elkaar te zetten Zeker niet voor tweakers met minstens een CDrom, een burner en twee HD koelers+ een SBlive platinum

Ach, is altijd nog f 207,- (aankoopkoers nog hoger) met waarschijnlijk extra shipping. Wat is er mis met een gezonde HX08 BIG tower voor 209 + shipping? Heeft wat extra power (300W) en een paar extra baaien.
