CGO heeft een review van de ATI Rage Fury MAXX gepost. De benchmarks in deze bespreking schetsen een vergelijkbaar beeld als ervaringen uit eerdere reviews: de Fury MAXX levert ongeveer gelijke framerates als de GeForce SDR, maar kan de GeForce DDR niet bijhouden:
On our 600MHz Athlon test system, the MAXX delivered frame rates a little bit faster than a regular GeForce-based card at high resolutions and color depths, and this gap may widen a little if used in an even faster machine. When pitted against a GeForce card with DDR RAM, however, the ATI offering just couldn't keep up. Despite having a higher theoretical peak fill rate (by 4%), the MAXX was slower than the GeForce DDR in just about every benchmark, especially those that support hardware Transformation and Lighting.
