VHware stuurde een link naar CPU Review, waar men een aantal Athlon vs G4 benchmarks van het net geraapt heeft. De Athlon blijkt het helemaal niet slecht te doen, hij is vaak zelfs stukken sneller dan een G4 'supercomputer'

In short, the Athlon beat the G4 in the benchmarks Raytrace, Depth of Field, and ZBuffer Sort, but lost out slightly to a G4/500 (I'm presuming this is overclocked or one of those accelerator cards) in the benchmark 'Textures'.In the 'Depth of Field' benchmark, an Athlon 650 beat a couple of competing G4/450 machines by a factor of two!
