Linus Torvalds over Linux hype

Reuters vroeg onze vriend Linus naar zijn mening over de opkomst van Linux en het onstaan van commerciële successen zoals Red Hat en VA Linux Systems. Hier wat plakwerk uit dit interview:

``It is tremendous fun to see Linux grow up,'' Torvalds told Reuters in an e-mail interview.

[...] Becoming rich could actually hurt his cult status as someone who does programming for kicks not cash, and Torvalds said he was satisfied with the ``ego-boost'' the enthusiasm for Linux brings to him.

[...] He says he is not jealous of those hitting the jackpot thanks to his program, including VA Linux Systems Inc.'s founder Larry Augustin.

``If anyone should earn billions, then it is him. One of the best people I know,'' Torvalds said.

eigenlijk is windows zo slecht nog niet

Linux zuigt. Wanneer ondersteunt het mijn ATA 66 kaart eens. Laat ze daar eens wat aan doen.
Ik kan het dus niet eens installeren. Als het programma net zo slecht is dan heb je er dus nix aan.
Leve WINDOWS.

Zolang InHell en Microbocht aan de top blijven, steun ik het Linux geheel toch

snapt niet helemaal waarom iedereen op Linux geilt, loopt nog vaker vast dan windows

maak je je eigen OS!!!

Heb ik gisteren nog geprobeerd. Maar dit is helaas niet gelukt. Of eigenlijk gelukkig. Ik lees dat linux nog vaker vastloopt dan WINDOWS. Leve windows dus.
