2CPU.com heeft een artikel in elkaar geklust met benchmarks van Q3Test onder Windows Millenium build 2419 en Win2k RC2 build 2128. Onder Windows 2000 werd gekeken naar het voordeel van de "r_smp 1" setting. Op hogere resoluties blijkt er nauwelijks verschil te zijn en is Windows Millenium zelfs sneller dan Windows 2000 met SMP:
I hope all of you jumping on the Win2k bandwagon will test your frame rates in both Win98 and Win2k especially if you do not have 2 processors. 15fps is a pretty hefty difference between you getting a frag or becoming one. With 2 processors the story changes a little at low resolutions, Being able to break 100+fps is quite nice too bad the results are not as stellar at higher resolutions. I expect these numbers will be pushed higher when Win2k goes gold. Then Nvidia can optimize its drivers and Id will have chance to tweak Q3 for Win2k.
