Hyundai MicroElectronics today moved its family ofdouble-date-rate SDRAMdevices into volume production with a 64-Mbit chip line for high-end graphics cards.[...] Hyundai MicroElectronics is also moving to launch 128- and 256-Mbit DDR SDRAM products that will be targeted at servers, workstations, PCs, and other applications.
[...] Hyundai expects about 85 percent of next year's DRAM market will be composed of PC100 and PC133 SDRAM, with DDR accounting for about 10 percent and Rambus DRAM making up about 5 percent of sales. In 2001, however, DDR will grow to 25 percent of the market, while Rambus is predicted to move up to about 8 percent, according to the company.
