Intel is a shrewd business company and will do whatever is more effective for them to maximize their profits in the current situation. If it will cost them more profit dollars to disable SMP in Celerons, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will not be done. When we see the Celeron move to the .18 micron architecture, it is very possible that the SMP function would be disabled then. We were also informed by "Gladfly" that .18 micron Celerons are up and running. We are not likely to see these until the PIII goes to the 133MHz bus speed though, which will most likely be next year according to Intel's Roadmap.
