AMD Zone heeft een nieuwsposting geplaatst over het overklokken van de Athlon. AMD Zone bevestigd wat JC eerder zei: je zult een apart apparaatje nodig hebben om de multiplier van de Athlon te herprogrammeren:
I did some digging around about the whole no overclocking rumor that started here. I didn't want to post anything else until after I had better info. Looks like what JC had posted was basically correct. At present you will most likely have to have an external device to hook up to the processor to adjust its speed. I hope to get my hands on one of these, which could be manufactured by a third party. If anyone knows how to get such a device, or would like to let me borrow one for a while, I would be most appreciative.
Of het ook mogelijk is om de busspeeds omhoog te tillen wordt niet gezegd. 200Mhz = vast?
