Microsoft is always adding things to Windows and occasionally they bundle up all their changes into a new full CD version. They did this for Windows 95 but only made the complete set of changes available on new computers. For Windows 98 they've decided to make updating easier with the release of Windows 98 Second Edition (Win98 SE to its friends).There's some interesting new features in the Second Edition, but don't be mislead by the Microsoft marketing machine. Some of the lauded features of the new release are already in Windows 98, you may be tempted to buy SE for something you already have!
