X-bit Labs heeft wat info en een nudie gevonden van de A7A266, een Socket A DDR moederbord van Asus met ALi's MAGiK 1 chipset aan boord. Het bordje zou binnenkort gereleased moeten worden en heeft één AGP Pro slot, 5 PCI gleuven en 3 SDR DIMM slots. DDR PC1600 of PC2100 geheugen kun je kwijt in 2 DDR sloten. Overclockers kunnen verder gebruik maken van het JumperFree BIOS.

ASUS A7A266 is a new Socket A DDR mainboard based on ALi MAGiK 1 chipset, which is going to be released quite soon. AMD Athlon/Duron processors of 500MHz up to 1.5+ GHz will benefit from the optimal performance delivered by this ATX mainboard.
ALi M1647 North Bridge enables the ASUS A7A266 to take advantage of faster bus speeds and peak bandwidths of up to 2.1GB/s. The increased bandwidth from the 200MHz FSB and 266MHz memory bus speeds translate into new levels of performance previously unattainable by slower, higher latency memory standards. With 2 DDR DIMM slots and support of up to 2GB of DDR SDRAM, ASUS A7A266 is extremely scalable.
ASUS A7A266 can boast a wealth of easy overclocking features. You can easily overclock your processor using ASUS' JumperFree mode from the convenience of your BIOS screen, or physically use the dip-switches for manual adjustments. Vcore may be adjusted in 0.05V increments up to 0.3V over default settings.
