The Adrenaline Vault heeft een review geschreven van de Cambridge Soundworks FPS1800 speakerset. De FPS1800 heeft net wat meer watjes dan de goedkopere FPS1500. Net als de FPS 1500 is dit ook een 4.1 speakerset, dus vier satellietspeakers en een subwoofer. De geluidskwaliteit is bij alle frequenties zeer goed. Zelfs met het volume op 100 procent was er geen sprake van vervorming van de basstonen uit de subwoofer. Hieronder een stukje uit de conclusie:
What can we say? We loved these speakers. They are noticeably superior to the well respected FPS 1000 series that Cambridge has put out in the past, and hold their own against most of the competition we have heard in recent years. More important than their surprising level of power, given their diminutive appearance, is how incredibly balanced the system is. Though we are very glad they included it, we did not have to touch the subwoofer adjustment once during testing. A single hardware EQ setting on the Aureal card was all that was needed. The lows were not too low, the highs were not too high, everything sounded strong and even from test to test.
[...] All this and the entire set is only $99.99 retail. If that is not a value, then we don't know what is. Based upon our testing experience, we can recommend this set without reservation to the majority of PC users everywhere. There are a small percentage of audiophiles for whom these may not be enough, but for just about everybody else, the Cambridge SoundWorks FPS 1800's will make a great addition to your system. They set a high standard that all other sets in their class should be measured by.
