Cue drum roll) And the winner is…the ELSA GLADIAC Ultra. Yes siree, this is not only the most expensive card in the round up but it's also the fastest and our overall favorite way to drop $500 on a video card. Sure it isn't cheap but neither is a Marinello or a DB7. Is it worth the money? Of course it isn't, that's not the point. As we've said before, if you're looking for value try out our "high-end shoot-out". There are some great values there.
[...] As we said at the beginning of this piece, there's no shame in coming second, third or even last in this shootout. If you made it this far then you're with the very best of the best. Give yourselves, your engineers, product managers, PR folks et al. a big pat on the back. We'd gladly have any of these video cards in our home PCs. There can be only one overall winner but let's talk about some of the others in this distinguished group.[break]Deze opmerking van Sharky Extrme mag zeker niet gemist worden
:[/break]There is a note on the side of the 3D Prophet II Ultra box that says, "Any relation to religious issues is completely unintentional. Hercules does not bear responsibility for any interpretations." It appears Guillemot was worried that the name of the card coupled with its massive power might lead to hardware worship, millennial hardware cults, and mass computer nerd suicides from drinking arsenic-laced Mountain Dew.
