Electic Tech schrijft dat Fujitsu vandaag de MPG3xxxAT/H lijn van hardeschijven heeft aangekondigd. Deze hardeschijven hebben een plattergrootte van 20,4GB tenzij je een 30GB of 10GB model hebt waar de grootte respectievelijk 15GB en 10GB is. De hardeschijven komen beschikbaar in het 5400 en het 7200rpm smaakje en zijn uitgerust met een ATA-100 interface. Fujitsu claimt een piek doorvoer snelheid van 60,7MB per seconde en een seektime van 8.5ms. De schijven komen dit jaar nog op de markt, de 5400rpm versie in oktober en de 7200rpm versie later in het jaar 2000:

The new Fujitsu MPG3xxxAT/H series includes capacities of 10.2GB, 20.4GB, 40.9GB, at 20.4GB per platter and 30.7GB at 15.3GB per platter. With data transfer rates up to 60.7MB/s, seek times as low as 8.5ms, lower power consumption, and a 512KB or 2MB buffer, these new drives offer outstanding performance for today's wide-range of desktop applications. In addition, the new Fujitsu desktop series incorporates Ultra ATA/100 for maximum media transfer rates up to 100MB/sec.
