We believe however that $89.99 is a small price to pay above say an Alpha's $49.99 price tag to enjoy the benefits of a great Socket370 and Socket-A CPU cooler that just might possibly give you another 75 to 125MHz out of your existing or future CPU. The MC370-3 is easy to install, nearly foolproof, utilizes the finest materials and construction we've seen from any HSF on the market, and cools a CPU by nearly 50 degrees Celsius. Add that all together and you get a product that's easy for us to recommend to both professional and neophyte overclockers alike.
On the negative side the high speed fan that works to cool the MC370-3's heatsink is relatively loud. Swiftech warns buyers that the fan pumps out 43DB of audible sound, and we don't doubt it after hearing this powerful unit in action for several hours. If you run your case "topless", or without its protective cover, be warned that the drone might be impossible to live with. In our covered test rigs, which still provide amazing airflow, the MC370-3 was easy to live with in our opinion, but it depends on the person.
[...] The bottom line is that Swiftech makes amazing products, and the MC370-3 is just the latest in a long line of powerful yet reliable peltier coolers that the company has created specifically for overclockers. Highly recommended.
