Zaterdag meldden we al dat Intel haar voor 27 augustus geplande prijsverlagingen had vervroegd naar gisteren. Vandaag blijkt echter dat die prijsverlagingen alleen gelden voor de oude Pentium III-processors: 500E, 533EB en 550E.
De price-drop is vooral bedoeld om voor de herfst nog snel de oude voorraden PIII's de deur uit te krijgen:
