For people who like to take things into their own hands and are tired of waiting for motherboard manufactures to release bios updates; WPCREDIT and WPCRSET are the answer. The memory scores that we obtained offer a very nice memory performance increase and put an end to the title of "Poor Memory Performer" that has tagged the VIA Apollo Pro chipset since its release. These tweaks worked on this particular setup, but I have used the same tweaks on several other setups with similar results. The big tweak here is the 4-way memory interleaving. A few motherboard manufactures have released bios revisions that enable 4-way so your performance gains may not be as huge as those I have shown. For the thousands of other users that do not have 4-way memory interleaving this could be the answer you are looking for. I want to thank H-Oda for writing these two wonderful utilities as well as the many other utilities they have written. WPCREDIT can be used for more than just memory tweaking too. There are options to set the AGP and PCI divider as well as AGP speed and sidebanding. I encourage experienced users to play with these settings. I also encourage users to test the above settings and send in their results. We will then try to start a page posting peoples tweaked scores as well as other tweaks they find.
