Would you want to watch a movie in a theater if you could see jagged edges and moving pixels? I would not. Gamers are just like movie enthusiasts but we tolerate all of the jaggies and ants that are ever so present in games today. 3dfx is trying to make gaming as much a pleasure as they could. That means making dramatic changes that improve gameplay via enhanced visuals. We both agreed that a computer game couldn't compare to a movie such as Toy Story or A Bugs' Life but with the new T-Buffer effects that 3dfx incorporated into their VSA-100, it could come pretty darn close. Who knows? In a few years, computer games could be as realistic (or even more) as an animated film.
