RdB schrijft dat ze bij Overclockin.com weer eens wat origineels hebben geprobeerd, ze hebben een dual peltier koeler gemaakt voor blikjes :
Not that any of that matters, I’m just being stupid (mmmm…daiquiris…). Within minutes, the condensation began to form on the cold plates, so we gathered around and leaned in to get a closer look, with what we thought was the KNOWLEDGE that we would soon be seeing ice… After a couple minutes of not seeing any ice, our backs got a little tired of bending, so we took a step back, and stood up straight to give it a couple minutes. Ten minutes later we were on the floor or in chairs, a little bit disappointed with how long it was taking… In a 78F room, the coke had only reached 68F (yes, we let the coke can reach room temperature before we started). After an hour, it was only down to 53F, so everyone got frustrated with it and left. I stayed up and watched it for another hour, after which it reached 42F, and I went to bed (leaving it to run all night). When I checked it in the morning it was FROZEN SOLID!!! Just kidding. It had actually gone back up to about 45F, so 42 was probably it’s low. It didn’t perform quite like some of us thought (actually, I was one of the doubters…) but we thought some of you would like to read about it anyway… Thanks again to everyone who pitched in and helped us on this one!

Het blijkt dus dat je de koelkast en diepvriezer nog niet weg hoeft te gooien, alleen staan ze natuurlijk niet zo stoer als dit speeltje .
