Software-update: Google Chrome 2.0.157.0

De ontwikkelaars van Chrome hebben een in de vorm van versie 2.0.157.0 een nieuwe bèta van Googles internetbrowser vrijgegeven. Volgens de developers is er in deze versie gewerkt aan het verder stabiliseren van de 2.0-tak. Zo zijn er bugs opgelost en een aantal verbeteringen in de layout doorgevoerd. De 2.0.157.0-bèta kan via het gebruikelijke stappenplan worden geïnstalleerd. Chrome is zodanig gebakken dat elke tab in een eigen proces wordt gedraaid en als desktopapplicatie kan worden gebruikt. Verder is de webbrowser voorzien van een eigen Javascript-engine. De 2.0-tak kent ten opzichte van de 1.0-serie een aantal nieuwe features. Zo is de browser voorzien van form autocomplete, full-page zoom en het gebruik van profielen. Het volledig changelog van de nieuwe Chrome is hieronder gepost:
