Het programma eDonkey2000 is een p2p-uitwisselingsprogramma dat standaard gebruik maakt van het Overnet-protocol, daarnaast zijn er door middel van plug-in's vele andere protocollen beschikbaar. In de eDonkey Forums is een melding te vinden over versie 1.1.16 van dit programma waarin de volgende veranderingen zijn doorgevoerd:

- allowing donkey only searches (before if it wasn't a valid overnet search, it wouldn't do anything)
