Alfredo Milani Comparetti heeft een bètarelease uitgebracht van zijn hardware-monitoringsprogramma SpeedFan. Het gaat om versie 4.21 beta 15 en deze kan van onze tweakers.net-server worden gedownload. Het programma kan informatie weergeven van het systeem, zoals voltages, temperatuur, de snelheid van de fans en de SMART-informatie van de harddrive(s). Ook is het mogelijk, mits het gebruikte moederbord dit ondersteunt, om de snelheid van je fans aan te passen. Belangrijkste vernieuwing in deze versie is ondersteuning voor SCSI-harddisks. SpeedFan 4.21 beta 15:
- This is one of most important additions made to SpeedFan. This beta adds full support for SCSI Hard Disks. Both SCSI hard disks' temperature and internal counters are shown. Internal counters are pretty much similar to SMART attributes. This beta is the result of a lot of reports collected via the SCSI tool that can be found on this page. You are encouraged to send reports using that tool too.
- SpeedFan 4.21 beta 13 fixes an access violation when trying to identify SCSI drives and a driver tries to return fake data for hard disks that are either EIDE or SATA.
- To test this beta, first install SpeedFan 4.20, then overwrite the original EXE with this one. Any SEND REPORT will be appreciated. Feel free to let me know if you find any issue, even if a minor one, related to the SCSI feature.
