Software-update: OpenLogi 0.8.8

OpenLogi logoOpenLogi is een open source alternatief voor Logitech Options+ en kan worden gebruikt om randapparatuur van Logitech te beheren. Het is geschreven in Rust, beschikbaar voor Windows, Linux en macOS, draait volledig lokaal, heeft geen account nodig en stuurt geen telemetrie op. De software is nog volop in ontwikkeling en is in dat opzicht nog niet helemaal af, maar wel goed bruikbaar. Versie 0.8.8 is uitgekomen en de changelog sinds versie 0.8.5 kan hieronder worden gevonden.

Nice... op linux gebruik ik momenteel solaar voor koppeling van draadloze muizen en wat basis instellingen. Ga deze eens bekijken. Ziet er wel 'fancy' uit - ik ben meer voor minimalistisch en geheugenefficient...
Houd er rekening met dat deze ook behoorlijk vibe coded lijkt te zijn als ik kijk naar de repository en website (rare download verwijzingen die niet kloppen bijvoorbeeld en dit is nadat de website compleet herbouwd lijkt te zijn na de vorige release toen er andere dingen niet klopten).

Puur persoonlijk, maar LLM assistentie bij software ontwikkeling is één ding. Maar dit soort software waarbij het release tempo ook nog eens heel hoog ligt loop ik toch met een boog omheen. Het wekt bij mij geen vertrouwen dat de ontwikkelaar kritisch naar de output en het geheel kijkt. Nu lijkt het tempo iets te zijn afgenomen, maar kijkende naar de commit en release history wekt het bij mij geen vertrouwen op.
