Software-update: SyncBackFree 12.1.6.0

2BrightSparks heeft versie 12.1.6.0 van SyncBackFree uitgebracht. Dit programma is de eenvoudigste en daarmee meteen ook de gratis uitvoering van de back-upsoftware die dit bedrijf in de aanbieding heeft. Naast back-ups maken kan SyncBackFree data synchroniseren. Dit kan naar een locatie op dezelfde of een andere schijf, of naar een ander medium, zoals een USB-stick, FTP-server of ziparchief. Naast deze gratis uitvoering zijn er ook SyncBackSE en SyncBackPro, die voor respectievelijk 51 en 68 euro extra functionaliteit bieden. De changelog voor deze uitgave is hieronder te vinden:

• Profiles can be compared to others or defaults
• (Pro): Option to force SFTP V3 protocol (not supported with wodFTP or SmartFTP)
• (Pro): New backup email variables %EMAIL_DATESTAMP% and %EMAIL_FROMDOMAIN%

Updated:

• (Pro): Improved SFTP public key fingerprint extraction
• Changed some text on Decisions->Files to avoid confusion
• The network addresses used to search for SyncBack Touch devices are refreshed on every search, so network changes (Wi-Fi connecting, VPN, etc.) no longer require the window to be reopened
• (Pro/SE): Add profile's "Next Run Time" field to the data being sent to remote control/SBMS

Fixed:

• (Pro): Backup of sent emails saved to wrong sub-directory and filename as sent emails do not have headers
• (Pro): %EMAIL_FROMNAME% and %EMAIL_FIRSTTONAME% variables now correctly return the email address when there is no friendly name
• (Pro): The %EMAIL_REPLYTO% variable now correctly returns the reply-to email address and not the reply-to friendly name
• (Pro/SE): With Delta Copy, the whole file was being re-copied on every alternate run instead of a patch file being created
• Windows repositioned when using RDP and logged out (as monitor ID's are not saved between RDP sessions)
• Stop invalid characters being saved to settings files
• A corrupt or damaged profile audit database is now automatically detected and rebuilt (previously audit entries were silently lost)
• Removal of a drive during a profile run's scan is now reliably detected (the run is aborted, as the scan results cannot be trusted)
• Searching for SyncBack Touch devices now works on networks without a gateway, e.g. isolated networks and direct cable connections
• SyncBack Touch device search results are now processed on the main thread (avoids rare instability when devices were found)
• Profiles set to run when a SyncBack Touch device starts could run twice soon after the program started
• An MTP device that was connected and then disconnected while the program was starting is no longer treated as still connected
• (Pro): Email backup using Graph API (Outlook, Exchange) had a limit of 128 sub-folders
