Software-update: Kdenlive 25.12.1

Versie 25.12.1 van Kdenlive is uitgekomen. Kdenlive, een afkorting voor KDE Non-Linear Video Editor, is een geavanceerd, niet-lineair videobewerkingsprogramma en wordt voornamelijk ontworpen voor Linux, maar er zijn ook downloads voor Windows en macOS. Het maakt gebruik van diverse andere opensourceprojecten, zoals FFmpeg en het MLT-videoframework. De releasenotes voor deze uitgave kunnen hieronder worden gevonden.

Kdenlive 25.12.1 released

The first maintenance release of the 25.12 series is with the usual batch of stability fixes and workflow improvements. Highlights of this release include further polishing of the new welcome screen, added AMF encoding profile for Windows, fixes to audio capture and effects alongside numerous smaller improvements throughout the interface.

Op Linux is KDenLive een prima videobewerking programma, werkt snel en is stabiel.

Op Windows ook, gebruik het met enige regelmaat naar veel tevredenheid.

Ik vind de gratis variant van Davinci Resolve zelf beter (betaalde versie is natuurlijk wel beter met h264/5). Alleen werkt dit alleen goed op Nvidia GPU'. Met AMD is het een drama in gebruik (het is wel mogelijk via ROCm nu, maar nog niet geprobeerd). Je zit dan wel zo'n beetje vast aan Kdenlive.

Een van de weinige andere oplossingen is Blender video editing, maar ik vind het niks.
